We have a man that is ready to serve us with all our support and votes. CHRIS BLAIR worked and came up THROUGH THE RANKS. CHRIS BLAIR has many years administrative experience, and SERVED THIS COMMUNITY 31 years BEFORE his opponent went to RECRUIT SCHOOL....who has NEVER made AN ARREST, and most importantly is being BACKED BY A DEMOCRAT Sheriff...Chris and his opponent are both Republicans..IF this does not tell you something, IT SHOULD! What EVER happened to QUALIFIED FOR THE POSITION?
Chris is a family man with good morals values that is needed by everyone. CHRIS BLAIR has MANY AREAS that he served tirelessly and ALL of his service to us was from his ABILITY, DEDICATION, and KEEN SENSE to UNDERSTAND the NEED to all this community needed, and STILL NEEDS in a READY to SERVE SHERIFF. No training is necessary, because CHRIS BLAIR ALREADY KNOWS who, what, where, and when to apply the CORRECT need(s) to any/all problem or service to all of us. CHRIS BLAIR KNOWS what to do with those who commit crimes in our community. He has handled this before.
Ask someone that knows this man who KEEPS HIS WORD, KEEPS HIS ACCEPTED INVITATIONS) to community meetings and organizations to meet and speak. Ask someone that KNOWS CHRIS BLAIR and his giving family for MANY YEARS.....

sponsored a parade float in the Ocala 2011 Christmas Parade on Saturday, December 10th at 5:30pm on East Silver Springs Blvd in Ocala FL. The float is the first of its kind in the parade and will celebrate breast cancer survivors (like me) who were featured in the Angels of 2012 calendar. During Chris Blair’s tenure with the Marion County Sheriff’s Office, he worked and supervised in the Uniformed Patrol Division, Property Crimes and Street Crime Units, Warrants Division and was the North District Commander. Chris Blair was instrumental in establishing many programs at the Marion County Sheriff’s Office in an effort to deliver exemplary services to our community and the victim’s and families of violent crimes, by maintaining a high arrest, clearance and closure rate. Chris Blair has been an instructor at the College of Central Florida for the past twelve years and has taught in both the Law Enforcement and Correctional Academies in both the classroom and as a Range Master in the Firearms Course. He has earned several Medals of Commendations and numerous awards and citations to include the Medal of Distinction.
ACCOMPLISHMENTS
• Program Initiatives
• Assisted in establishing the first DNA Screening Lab in Florida in partnership with FDLE.
• Developed and established the Cold Case Investigative Team (ICE Agents) to investigate cold case homicides.
• Federal Grant of $180,000 dollars was received to investigate cold case homicides.
• Two cold case homicides were solved during this Grant.
• Developed NIBIN Program (National Integrated Ballistics Information Network) to fire all firearms located in Evidence, and future collecting of firearms to assist in prosecuting Federal cases.
• Developed partnership with ATF and FDLE to investigate Federal gun cases.
• Developed Robbery Monitoring Program to monitor convenience stores by internet to assist with quick apprehension and other suspicious activity.
• Developed robbery/fraud/banking monthly intelligence meetings with instant email notification of intelligence reference robberies, suspects, and other crime information.

Chris Blair has been a sworn law enforcement officer with the Marion County Sheriff’s Office and has served the citizens of Marion County for the past thirty-five (35) years.
Prior to his retirement in December of 2010, Chris Blair held the rank of Major/Bureau Chief of Detectives. He was responsible for overseeing the Special Investigations Bureau consisting of the homicide, robbery, sex crimes, cargo theft, internet crimes against children and the sex offender/predator units. In addition, he was also responsible for the day-to-day operations of the agency’s Multi Agency Drug Enforcement Task Force, North Florida High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area and the Unified Drug Enforcement Strike Team.

Chris Blair was born in Baltimore, Maryland where his father served proudly for the United States Army and the United States Marine Corps before becoming a Baltimore City Police Officer. When his father retired from the police department, his family moved to Ocala where he has resided for the past forty-three years. He has been married for twenty-years and he has two children, a son who is a high school teacher and football coach and a daughter who is presently a full-time college student.
